One of the key areas of the FINOBOD. Tashkent International FinTech Forum 2026 business program will be a dedicated session “Islamic Finance in Central Asia: From Regulatory Reforms to Digital Ecosystems.”

Islamic finance is becoming one of the most promising areas for the development of the financial sector in Central Asia. The ongoing improvement of legislation, introduction of new regulatory mechanisms, and growing interest from international investors are creating favorable conditions for the formation of a modern Islamic banking ecosystem in the region.

Today, the integration of Islamic finance principles with digital technologies, fintech platforms, and innovative financial services is becoming increasingly important.

During the session, leading experts will discuss:

  • the development of Islamic banking and regulatory reforms in Central Asia;
  • the integration of Islamic financial instruments into digital banking infrastructure;
  • prospects for the development of Islamic fintech, digital payments, and partnership-based financing;
  • the application of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in Islamic financial services;
  • asset tokenization, digital sukuk, and the use of smart contracts;
  • attracting investments from Gulf countries and developing international cooperation.

Special attention will be given to the practical experience of banks, fintech companies, and international financial institutions already implementing Islamic finance projects, as well as to the automation of Shariah compliance processes and the development of a new generation of specialists.
