The future of cross-border trade and digital payments will be discussed at FINOBOD. Tashkent International FinTech Forum 2026

One of the key sessions of the FINOBOD. Tashkent International FinTech Forum 2026 business program will be the discussion “Cross-Border Trade and Payments: How FinTech Solutions Reduce Barriers and Create New Corridors in Central Asia.”

Today, the development of international trade is impossible without modern financial technologies. Despite the steady growth of trade turnover between Central Asian countries and their international partners, businesses continue to face a number of challenges, including high costs of cross-border payments, lengthy settlement periods, complex documentation processes, limited access to trade finance, and factoring services.

Modern fintech solutions are significantly simplifying these processes. Instant cross-border payments, digital electronic document management, platform-based factoring services, trade financing, smart contracts, and central bank digital currencies are gradually creating a new infrastructure for international trade.

These issues will be at the center of a dedicated Forum session.

Participants will discuss:

  • modern instruments for cross-border payments and digital settlements;
  • the development of electronic document management in international trade;
  • platform-based factoring and trade finance as tools to support businesses;
  • prospects for using central bank digital currencies and smart contracts in foreign economic activities;
  • experience in implementing pilot projects for the digitalization of cross-border trade, including electronic document exchange between Russia and Uzbekistan;
  • key barriers to creating efficient payment and trade corridors in Central Asia.

Special attention will be given to practical cases from banks, fintech companies, electronic document management operators, international payment platforms, as well as the experience of government institutions in building modern digital infrastructure for foreign economic activity.

Representatives of financial institutions, ministries of economy and trade, logistics companies, exporters, importers, fintech solution developers, and leading international experts will be invited to participate in the session.
